I’m Elizabeth Lang, and I’ve built my life’s work around one belief: equity begins with people. As a strategist, educator and social impact entrepreneur, I work where justice, innovation and systems change meet, helping organisations and communities turn good intentions into meaningful transformation.
As the Founding CEO of Diversity Focus and Co-Founder of the Racism Register, I help organisations and institutions move beyond performative gestures to embed equity into leadership, policy, and culture in real and lasting ways. From grassroots initiatives to global platforms, I’ve worked across sectors and systems to transform complex challenges into actionable, justice-driven outcomes.
Whether I’m speaking on international stages, facilitating critical conversations in local communities or advising senior leaders, my approach is grounded in lived experience, academic research and practitioner insight. I consult and speak globally on anti-racism, inclusive education, cultural humility and equity-centred leadership.
As a PhD researcher, I’m exploring how systemic and cultural dynamics shape responses to domestic and family violence, particularly within collectivist cultural contexts. My research brings together lived experience, academic inquiry and frontline insight to inform more culturally responsive, equity-driven approaches to prevention and intervention.
At the heart of everything I do is a deep commitment to dignity, dialogue and justice, because building environments where everyone can thrive begins with listening deeply and leading with courage.
Justice and equity aren’t checkboxes; they’re ongoing practices.
The ERA Framework supports individuals and organisations to move from intention to transformation through:
Education – Rooted in truth, history and lived experience
Reflection – Fostering dialogue, awareness and critical self-examination
Action – Embedding equity into everyday decisions, systems and culture
Equity isn’t simply an outcome. It’s a daily practice cultivated through Education, Reflection and Action. Welcome to a new ERA.
I acknowledge the First Peoples of Australia, on whose lands I live, work and play. I honour their enduring connection to Country and ongoing resistance to colonisation and injustice. Sovereignty was never ceded. I stand in solidarity with their continued struggle for truth-telling, justice and decolonisation.
